cross-curriculum priorities, it explores Aboriginal Histories and Cultures.

A fantastic opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of Australia’s diverse Indigenous culture through traditional, contemporary, or hip hop dance performances. Using 'Liyan Nyikina' from the Kimberley region, meaning 'to connect to country and spirit,' we blend Indigenous dance styles to convey cultural themes and dreamtime stories. Each group performs their own ceremonial dance at the end of the day.

We begin our session with an acknowledgment of country, followed by an explanation of who we are and what we do, focusing on the importance of remembering the history of our First Nations people. Our artists will perform a captivating show for your audience then get them up to participate as a group in an interactive dance workshop. We focus on delivering our motto ‘no shame, be proud, respect’, encouraging the group of develop a healthy mind, body, spirit culture.
